If the Muslim believes that there is one Allah then he also needs to demonstrate it.
The act of worship or prayer is a way where a Muslim shows gratitude and love for Allah. Prayer is also known as Salah in Islam and it is performed five times a day. Whenever the call for prayer is given, it is obligatory upon Muslim men to gather at the mosque and perform Salah.
The next act of worship is known as Saum or fasting. It is done in the holy month of Ramadan and a Muslim keeps his fast from dawn till dusk. During this time, he also needs to abstain from all kinds of evil. He should try his best to do good deeds as the reward increases in number during the month of Ramadan. Islam has also acknowledged rights of poor people who can not even afford the basic necessities of life.
Zakat or charity is given to the poor from the rich which would provide them with basic amenities of life. The last pillar of Islam is Hajj or Pilgrimage which is performed once in a lifetime if a person’s health and financial status permits.
